Binder

What is a binder?

-a detachable cover, resembling the cover of a notebook or book, with clasps or rings for holding loose papers together.

-a person who binds books.

-Insurance, an agreement by which property or liability coverage is granted pending issuance of a policy.

-Agriculture, an attachment to a harvester or reaper for binding the cut grain, a machine that cuts and binds grain.

-a person or thing that binds.

How many have seen a binding machine, not the one that binds books; but one that binds grain?  Unless you are older than 60 and raised on a farm, most of you have seen binder in action.  I have but only a few times.

What does this have to do with this blog?  You ask.  Well, if you call yourself a Christian, you a called to be a binder, a person that binds.

Matthew 16:19,

I will give unto thee (the church) the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 18:18-19

Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Every day we must bind Satan, tie him up.  This is the responsibility of the church.  If you are a Christian, you are part of the church.

When is the last time you heard anyone in your church bind Satan and his demons.  Jesus did it by speaking the Word to Satan when He was tempted in the wilderness. 

You say, “we were never taught this”.  Well, it’s never too late to start.

Paul was the example for us.

Acts 16:16-18

as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us……….But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Every day, when you are praying thank God that he has given you the authority over Satan and take that authority and bind Satan and his demons that he can not touch you, your family, your possessions, anything that you come in contact with.  You say, “but I’m talking to God”.  Trust me Satan is listening. 

God receives glory when you act on His Word!
